Passionate German Teachers

We make learning German easy, fast, and enjoyable

Hello, we are Wekas and Kilian.

We are both passionate German teachers and have been teaching people from all over the world for many years. Kilian is from Rostock and Wekas from Hamburg.

Kilian lives in Vienna and founded the Deutschzentrum Wien there in 2009. Wekas runs his language school Genau-Genau in Berlin and will be leading courses at Deutschzentrum Berlin.

Wekas also has experience in film and gastronomy. Kilian used to act in theater and worked in teacher training.

Together, we want to implement the concept of the Deutschzentrum – modern, fast, efficient, and conversation-oriented German courses – in Berlin.

Wekas emigrated to Germany as a child in 1985, graduated from high school in Hamburg in 1999 and moved to Berlin in the same year. He then neglected his literature studies to discover the big wide world in Berlin. As a party organiser, restaurateur, event manager, marketing expert for intercultural projects, graphic designer, DJ and finally film producer, the world in Berlin became his ‘home’. After re-enrolling at university in 2017, his interest in languages turned into a profession that gives him great pleasure.

Since then, he has combined his intercultural, creative and linguistic skills, his training as a diversity trainer and his media expertise to convey language as part of his own identity and not as a means to an end. Since 2018, teaching German as a foreign language in schools, start-ups, medium-sized companies and to individual clients has become his favourite job. Wekas compares learning German to mountain climbing.

Wekas likes to climb the mountain first. The descent then brings many advantages for those who have to use their limited time efficiently. But not everyone has the time or energy for this route. So if you prefer to look around and walk around first to gain experience and then climb the mountain with a little more experience, he will be happy to help you find a group course that suits you. Of course, you can always come to him and have your unanswered questions answered afterwards. But if you still don't know what the right course is for you, then simply take the placement test or book a free 15-minute consultation with him.
